50th International Berlin Film Festival 2000

The Golden Bear for Life Time Achievment award goes to, Jeanne Moreau. This year the festival pays Hommage to Jeanne Moreau. The 1965 classic hit movie "Mademoiselle", screened at the Berlinale-Palast. Joining her was Moritz Hadeln the Festivals Director.

The Silver Bear award for Best Actor in the Movie Hurricane went to Denzel Washington. Congratulations Denzel you earned it . Mr. Washingtons performance was outstanding. Fabulous Director Norman Jewison comments on how Denzel's commitment to the movie included much preparation and losing forty pounds for the role. At this press conference we asked Denzel if he brought back past characters to life, in preparing for the role of Rubin Carter.
